David praises God for his deliverance

Psalms 30

[[A Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of David.]]

verse 1-I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

verse 2 –  O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

(a)Ps.6:2-4>Have compassion on me, LORD, for I am weak.
Heal me, LORD, for my bones are in agony.

verse 3 –  O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

(b)Ps.40:1-2>I waited patiently for the LORD to help me,
and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire.
He set my feet on solid ground
and steadied me as I walked along.

verse 4 –   Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

verse 5  – For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Focus point; Like a shot given by a doctor, the discomfort of God’s anger lasts only a moment, but the good effects go on for a long time. Let God’s anger be a sharp pain that warns you to turn from sin.

(c)Ps.16:11> You will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever

Rev.22:17>

verse 6 –  And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

(d)Job 29:18>“I thought, ‘Surely I will die surrounded by my family after a long, good life.

verse 7 – LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

(e)Ps.104:29>But if you turn away from them, they panic.
When you take away their breath,
they die and turn again to dust.

Focus point: Security had made David feel invincible. Although he knew that his riches and power had come from God, they had gone to his head, making him proud. Wealth, power, and fame have an intoxicating effect on people, making them feel self-reliant, self-secure, and independent of God. But this false security can be easily shattered. Don’t be trapped by false security of prosperity. Depend on God for your security, and you won’t be shaken when worldly possessions disappear.

verse 8 – I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.

verse 9 –  What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

(f)Ps.115:17>The dead cannot sing praises to the LORD,
for they have gone into the silence of the grave.

verse 10  – Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.

(g)Ps.4:1>Answer me when I call to you,
O God who declares me innocent.
Free me from my troubles.
Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.

verse 11 – Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

(h)2Sam.6:14>And David danced before the LORD with all his might, wearing a priestly garment.

Focus point; sackcloth refers to clothes worn as a sign of mourning.

verse 12 – To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Daily Promises (May 29th)

(Matthew 7:11)

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

(g) Rom.8:32>Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?

Isa.49:15>  “Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child?
Can she feel no love for the child she has borne?
But even if that were possible,I would not forget you!

Focus Points:

Christ is showing us the heart of God the Father. God is not selfish, begrudging, or stingy, and we don’t have to beg or grovel as we come with our requests. He is a loving Father who understands, cares, and comforts. If humans can be kind, imagine how kind God, the Creator of kindness, can be.

I ask My LORD and  Saviour  this season to take me to the top of the mountain, to be a light shinning through me. I really want to live a life with hope in it through Jesus Christ. there is a plan before me in God’s Word my seed of faith that was given me of God the Father I have chosen a long time ago to nature it and here I am in the seventh Season of life allowing God to confirm his word in the life that  I now live in Jesus’ Christ. I do not expect all people to believe just allow me to show you what he can and will do for us in Jesus’Name.

In the book of Matt. He, God tell us that a person of God would be rejected even in his own household, the county where he or she was born. Yet being born-again we seek a another home in heaven, with the King of Glory.  Living in the spirit is just trusting God’s Word. In God’s love by his grace through faith in the Cross of Jesus Christ, this is where his power comes in by faith. Chose to walk in faith ( in the Spirit of Christ Jesus) he promises to be with us, every moment of the way.  I asked God, because I believe he first chose me while I was in my mother’s womb, to allow me to go to the top and he has always confirm his way and his word in my life so whatever his word says through faith in Jesus Name I will, Lord willing take the message he gives  me to a  high office in the land. this is a marriage made in Heaven. I have chosen to fulfill my calling in Christ, it is not like I have a chose in the matter, Yet I was born  to love  The Lord and believe in Him. Three scores and Ten here I come confessing and living the life God attended me to live. And by His Holy Ghost Power.

Amen somebody!!!!

The voice of the LORD twists mighty oaks
and strips the forests bare.
In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!”

The LORD rules over the floodwaters.
The LORD reigns as king forever.

(e) Psa.93:4>But mightier than the violent raging of the seas,
mightier than the breakers on the shore—
the LORD above is mightier than these!

The LORD gives his people strength.
The LORD blesses them with peace.

(f) Isa.40:29>He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.

Focus points : verses 29:10,11 – throughout history, God has revealed his power through mighty miracles over nature, such as the great flood (Genesis 6-9). He promises to continue to reveal his power. Paul urged us to understand how great God’s power is (Ephesians 1:18-23>I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.) The same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to help us with our daily problems. When you feel weak and limited, don’t  despair.

Remember that God can give you Strength. The power that controls creation and raises the dead is available to you.
