John 17

1.These words spake Jesus, and up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

John 17:1>These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

2.As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. John 12:23> And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.  And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

3.And this is life eternal that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

this is life eternal … Isa.53> He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

the only true God, 1Cor.8:4> As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

1Thess.1:9>For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

4.I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

5.And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

6.I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

7.Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

8.For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

9.I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. 1John 5:19> And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

10.And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

John 16:15>All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

John 17:11>And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

John 13:1>Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

John 7:33>Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.

11.And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

John 7:33> Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.

12. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.   John 18:9>

1John 2:19>   They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Ps.41:9>Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

John 13:8> Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

13.And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled themselves.

14. I have given them thy word; and the wold hath hated them,  because they are not of the world.   1 John 3:13> Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

15.I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

Gal.1:4> Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

2Thess.3:3> But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

16.They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

17.Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

18.As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

19.And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

1Cor.1:30> But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

1Thess.4:7>   For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

Heb.10:10>By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all

 

20.And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

1john1:3>That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

21.That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

John 10:38> But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

Phil. 2:6> Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

1John 5:7> For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

22.And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one

1John1:3> That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

23. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Rom.12:5>So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Gal.3:28> There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Col.3:14> And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

John 10:38>But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

Heb.12:23>   To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

24.Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

1Thess.4:17> Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2Cor.3:18>But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 1John3:2>Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

25.O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

26.And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Eph.3:17>That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

John 14:23> Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
