-According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. Rom.15:20>Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation: 1Pet.4:11>If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
-For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Isa.28:16> Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. Matt.16:18>And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
-Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
-Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 1Pet.1:7>That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
-If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
-If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Jude 23>And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
-Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
-If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
Heb.3:1>Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
-Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
-For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. Job 5:13>He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
-And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. Psa.94:11>The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
-Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 2Cor.4:5>For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
-Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
-And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s. John 17:9-10>I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. Rom.14:8>For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. Gal.3:29> And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. 1Cor.8:6> But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 1Cor.11:3>But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Heb.1:3>Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
