(1 Peter 3:13)
And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? Prov.16:7>When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Peter does not here assure the believer that he will be free from persecution (in fact: Jesus warned about coming persecution, Paul experienced it, and Peter himself speaks of persecution later in this epistle). Rather, he states that no harm will come to those who are eager to do good. Though their body might be injured, they shall be ultimately blessed.
