(2 Corinthians 1:20)
For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
God keeps His promises.
Ps.72:17 – His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
Isa.7:14 – Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Rom.15:8-9 – Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
No matter what His promise may be, He will keep it-and it will be a “Yes” in Christ. Because of His faithfulness through Christ, our proper response should be “Amen,” in order that we give Him glory.
This should be the goal of all who believe-the further glory of God.
